Now, as per long-standing tradition, we are at our second BrazzChristmas, a cheerful, light-hearted initiative, but more serious than it may seem, in which we celebrate anniversaries and unwind from the tensions accumulated during the working year.
Why carefree?
Because, fundamentally, it is a holiday and in between there are celebrations that must be honored. So we live together, we play, we cook in self-management, we organize ourselves in groups and we try to leave behind the often toxic ambitions of a uselessly hyper-competitive world, especially on fronts where competition (of image, followers and various uselessness) should not be necessary.
So yes, BrazzChristmas was also all about fun.
Why “more serious than it may seem”?
Well, simply because we like climbing outdoors and we like to do it well. This means pushing our possibilities to the maximum, but also investing in the valorization of areas, initiatives, structures and people that, in some way, make the practice of this “borderline” sport possible.

First BrazzChristmas
In the first BrazzChristmas this was already evident: we found ourselves in the Bosco di Scorace, guided by those crazy people from Scorace Boulder and hosted by BnB Polvere di Stelle. Here, in addition to having enjoyed some really beautiful days (also gastronomically speaking), we explored a sector in great development, we faced a great cleaning and (surprise!) the first Sicilian 8b also came out, “Microterapia”
According to BrazzChristmas
This year it was Sardinia's turn, in the splendid Gallura, where anthology-worthy boulders reign supreme. On this granite - as hard and abrasive as it is fascinating - we enjoyed days of surprise, discovery and sharing. Guided by Primitive Bouldering and in a shared life allowed by the self-management of the La Cerra farmhouse, we enjoyed magical days of celebration and intense climbing.
What is left for us?
It is very difficult to summarize such different experiences, lived by such different people, but we try. We are mainly left with the awareness that the community of boulderers is made up of very different individuals, who experience bouldering in a unique and complex way. There are those who experience climbing alone and those who only travel in groups, those who wake up early and those who go to sleep late, those who warm up for two hours and climb for 5 minutes and those who do the opposite. So the comparison really helps us understand how beautiful it is to work, together, for common goals, which are those that must keep us strong and united to guarantee the development and sustainability of this unusual sport. Can we say that the growth of awareness, culture, dialogue and healthy fun are essential ingredients to be able to enjoy the rock as intensely and as long as possible? Brazz!
